Terminology

Terminology are the terms and coaching commands that execute the game plan. A phrase that captures every important moment of the game should be uncovered. If you can name the concept, you can train the concept, and if you can train the concept, you can execute the concept. The best teams have a game day language that inspires teamwork. The coaches task is to keep on uncovering new terms hidden within the game that can improve performance. For example, I see a player lose the ball and then sprint back to make a winning defensive play. I like that and want to see it repeated by all. So, we give that moment a name. We call it a TURNAROUND. It becomes a new stat that is praised heavily until it becomes contagious.
